Here's our 3 step approach:
Goal: To help people dress for the best version of themselves.
Method: Continuing to showcase our spin on how to be a Gentleman in today's world, through our style and curation of products.
Goal: To educate others on the art of being a gentleman.
Method: We're going to start incorporating meaningful content (emails, tips, blogs) throughout all of our channels, not just based off how to dress but how to act and how to move throughout the world as a Gentleman or Gentlewoman.
Goal: To showcase all the people who are helping us restore the way of the Gentleman.
Method: To feature our amazing supporters, not only in a gallery but throughout our whole ecosystem (site, social media, blogs, etc.) with the purpose of bringing back the norm of the Gentleman in today's world, together.

Fun fact about me:I watched Rush Hour for the first time in 2022 and I liked it.
That's not how we started Art of the Gentleman though.
The idea of starting Art of the Gentleman back in 2017 happened by chance more than anything. We all worked at the same company on the same team for the same boss and without going into too much detail; we knew that corporate America was not the dream. Work politics suck.
So we had the motivation to build a business that would help us reach financial freedom one day, but we didn't know what type of business to create or build.
But we loved to dress up, especially every Friday. We called it Fancy Fridays! When most people would dress down on Friday, we dressed up and it showed.
So we decided to combine our motivation for financial freedom with our passion for dressing up and that's when Art of The Gentleman was created.
After working 2 months on setting up all the basic aspects of our business with our initial product listings; we decided we were ready for our first order.. OR were we?
We started to play billiards that night after launching the store and we were expecting our first order within a few hours.
We were wrong...by almost two months.
Our first order came on Feb 26th 2018.
When we absolutely least expected, while working 9-5 and Rob was on vacation. We had no packing supplies, didn't know how to print a label and a barely had a bag to ship the package in.
Good times indeed. We'll never forget that first order from Ben F.
We truly appreciate you Ben F. for taking a chance on us even though we were not ready.
By the way - if it hasn't been said yet, this was our first actual business for all three of us. No cash funding, no business class, no business experience prior to this (as you read above).
We wouldn't feel this adrenaline rush again until April, when we got our second order.
Two orders in 4 months? We're going places!
..and that's okay. You live, learn, make mistakes and grow.
We're still grinding to make this our full time job and we believe more now than ever that we can do that.
After working 5 years on AG, we expected to be fully financial dependent from the 9-5 grind, but that isn't our reality yet and honestly, we're okay with that.
We aren't one of those fairytale business stories.
"Person quits their job and start an ecommerce business and makes $10M in their first 3 years"
We haven't figured out the secret sauce yet and honestly that burned us out a few times but we're continuing to keep our head up and move forward: one lesson at a time.
At some point, you realize that comparisons are the destroyer of dreams.
We can't compare our timeline of success to another startup company and assume failure if you don't reach the same milestones in the same time frame.
Put simply, we're on our own path to company success and however long it takes, we'll be there (and then some) for sure.
Glad you asked haha - we're going to focus on building and giving back to our community as much as we can.
1. Starting with interacting with you more. Listening more and showcasing more of our supporters (you) on our site and social medias (if you'll allow us of course).
2. Adding more value to you through developing better products and creating content that will actually help educate you on the nuisances of gentleman-hood (definitely not a word).
3. Just having fun and falling in love with the process of running a men's accessory company.
So if you want to witness the ride, stay in touch with us! Through email or social media. We'd truly appreciate it!
- Trev, Dev and Rob.
